What a month here on the Southern Oregon coast. Besides snow, hail, 100-mph winds, earthquakes and tsunamis ... we've had rain, rain, and more rain. My friend who runs the County Highway Department has a rain gauge at his office and through Monday the 28th, he measured 26 inches of rain. That's basically an inch a day. Imagine that: over two feet of water coming from the sky in four weeks. Why do you think the two major colleges in Oregon have a duck and a beaver as their mascots? Could it be the rain? Oh...maybe.
But it's been a productive month. I've had great success with my novel - two separate agents have requested my manuscript. My non-fiction proposal is almost finished. A major investor is planning a site visit for early April which is very promising. I've experimented with several new bread recipes and the latest one with banana chips, dried cranberries and granola is really tasty.
But c'mon! Enough already!
I haven't been on my bike more than for just little spins in close to three weeks, and when I did get out, I was riding in rain gear and came home drenched.
Well today, it's only drizzling and I'm going for it - in rain gear again.
The new month begins tomorrow and the forecast is for sunny skies. Is it over? Can we go outside yet?
