The Weekend is on the Horizon

Thursday, March 31, 2011

Today is my Friday, woo hoo. Much to be done on this three-day weekend before surgery next week, to name a few....

House cleaning - scrub from top to bottom - carpets, kitchen floor and gonna surprise my DD with a clean room when she comes home tomorrow from NY

Dinner tonight - leftovers with a side of "fix-it-yourself"

Pre-surgery lab work

Remove DEAD car - DD car died, it's being picked up tomorrow for donation

Airport to pick daughter tomorrow evening - gonna be interesting getting there, a lot of traffic on Friday night, and I mean a lot of traffic - have to travel 50 miles and thru an always majorily backed up Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel - ugghhh

Car shopping - looking for a good deal, inexpensive, dependable car for an almost 18 yr old

Supermarket - freezer is empty, time for a re-stock of necessities (lots of veggies)

Birthday dinner for DS on Sunday, complete with cake and ice cream

Hopefully I will feel up to getting every thing done, and hopefully I can throw a little spontaneous fun in the midst of all these chores, perhaps a little retail therapy even. Hope everyone has a great weekend, will talk at ya Monday.

P.S. Hoping to see my daughter on the Today show tomorrow morning - Ocean Lakes High School - be on the lookout if you watch it.

Good luck finishing all of your chores! Sounds like quite a list. My gall bladder removal was the only surgery I have ever had, and so I have nothing to compare it to, but for me, coming out of the anesthesia was one of the best, most peaceful feelings I have ever had. I was well rested and soooo happy! I took my pain medication like they told me and just rested. Best of luck to you, I think you'll do great!!

Poopy, I tape it every day, but I don't watch the whole thing (would take 2 hrs even fast forwarding thru the commercials). Hopefully we won't lose signal due to snow . . . Anyway, sending you be well vibes & have some fun vibes, too.
