I spent a lot of the day looking at recipes on here to find lots of clean eating stuff to make. I made banana bread, it was good but hubby complained it was too dry.
We're still in the process of using up all the junk food, I have it all planned out and it should be gone by next week Monday or Tuesday. I haven't been eating the junk, but they are finishing it up. For dinner they had hamburger helper. My daughter was asking where the rolls were. (Normally when I was eating crap, we would always have hamburger helper with Pillsbury crescent rolls.) So I told her, "we're not eating stuff like that anymore." She says, "why?" I said, "it's not healthy" and she's like, "well, hamburger helper isn't healthy is it?"
I have really gotten these kids confused. I've got to stop sending them mixed messages. I don't know how many times I've said we are done eating junk and we're gonna eat healthy, only to get lazy and buy more junk.
I went online and ordered a food processor and a waffle maker. (My kids live on Eggo waffles right now.)
So, after Zumba tonite I went to the grocery store to stock up on more healthy stuff. OMG- I was only picking up a few things and I was there over an hour and a half. I was reading so many labels..... I'm exhausted. But I am excited to cook healthy food for my family! No more fat-filled, sugar laden crescent rolls with gobs of nasty hydrogenated oil on them next to greasy, powdered, sodium cheese product on old nutrient-less noodles! MMMM... sounds good doesn't it?
