Seems like forever since I have been on Spark. A few weeks ago, I had to go to Savannah for a wedding with my husband. I did really well with my diet, but had no opportunity for exercise. I stopped taking my metformin because it was upsetting my stomach, and because I was only taking it for weightloss and not insulin resistance, I felt comfortable with my decision. The upside to the metormin was that it kept my eating and drinking habits very well in check. I didn't stray off plan for fear that it would tear my stomach apart. Now that I don't have that as my back-up, I have slowly fallen back into bad habits. Nothing crazy, like fried food ten times a week. Just not tracking my intake. My new elliptical, which I LOVE, bit the dust after just a few weeks. I was using it daily for at least thirty minutes, but most days an hour. Apparently, it was a POS. I am taking it back to the store next week and hopefully I can get store credit. On top off all this, my oldest daughter has been battling a brutal stomach virus that has been going on almost seven days...that means I am not getting anything done around the house because my baby needs me. Long story short, I am still here...oh, and despite not tracking my food and exercising like a mad woman, I haven't gained any of the weight I had lost! Hopefully things will start to calm down around here and I can get back to it. I just wish that I did a better job of managing everyone elses needs in addition to my own.

emoticon nice job on not gaining. I have had 3 weeks with an arm injury and have gained 5 lbs. Being off work for that time has really hit me hard. But I will get back on the right trail. Thank goodness that we have this wonderful site to return to when we are able. Keep up the fight! YOU CAN DO IT!

You are doing great!. Keep up the good work. Not gaining weight is great when no exercising.

Sorry you've had so much to deal with. It looks like you're still managing to take care of yourself to some extent, since you've kept the weight off, so good for you! I hope you can exchange the elliptical and get a new one. It should certainly last more than just a few weeks! I hope everything calms down for you soon, and you can get back into your normal routine of how you usually do things. I'm glad you're sticking with it! emoticon
