Boy I am struggling today..... I don't want to do my workout.....I keep procrastinating....

I have had to change up my workout routines several times since I started Spark. I still find that I don't have much left after I do it and I keep reading over and over how so many people have extra energy after they work out. I haven't yet experienced this so I decided to do my cardio tape first and my strength training tape right after so at least the days in between I don't have to push myself to work out.

I started this journey to be truthful to show my two sisters - whom I love dearly - that losing weight and being fit can be done the healthy way....and decided that I would show them by example....

I now realize that I am also doing it for myself, just as much....I so want to be able to say its possible - all you have to do is make up your mind to do it..... but the doing it...... well its really tough sometimes lol....

I watch all of the weight loss shows on tv - Biggest Loser, Heavy, Last 10 pounds, skinny vs fat... I am on Spark every moment I can be.... I read and read and read the articles on Spark....I am spending a ton of time to help me change my mind set to make this weight loss journey be a lifestyle change rather than a diet....

I am proud of what I have accomplished - a total of 25 lbs since I started...but I also realize that all of the other times I lost weight - I usually quit at this point....and its never, ever taken me this long ...or has it ever been as tough...
This only tells me that my age is now also getting in the way....

O well - it was good to get this off my chest.... I will do my work out.... my goal is to be able to walk the golf course this summer rather than rent a cart every time we go....I haven't been able to do this since my back surgery in 1998....

    Just wanted to say how proud I am of you. 25 lbs is aweome. I have been struggling as of late and its because I DON'T HAVE A PROPER COMPUTER. SEE THIS NETBOOK HATES ME LOL. Today is a great day for me to getback on track. You are my motivation to begin again. I HAVEN'T GAINED WEIGHT BUT i HAVEN'T LOST IT EITHER. stinking netbook has it out for me.lolI hope you have agreat weekend and I hope to have my pc up and running soon so I can blog once again. I tried it on this thing got a full page and it erased it on me. hugs

    Yes it helps to see spark as a lfestyle and not a diet. I am no good at following diets where you only eat whats listed. I dont even follow the spark menu when tracking my food but use it as a quide line. People will ask me are you on a diet or something and I say no I am just eating healthier and if I can I tell them about spark people. Congrats on your weight loss and I sure hope you dont quit because I know you can make it all the way. emoticon emoticon
