Well, I am into my first full week of working again after 3 months. I officially rejoined SparkPeople in January of this year, about the time I was laid off from work. I have missed 2 scheduled cardio days and 1 ST day. I see the need to make a few adjustments to my workout schedule.

I will not make Sunday a cardio & ST day instead of Monday. (That you may have known from my last blog "Good and Bad News") I am also deleting Tuesday as a cardio day. I may need to increase cardio minutes from a minimum of 35 on S, W,TH,F, & Sat to at least 45 minutes. That may be difficult in the beginning. I'll probably have to increase little by little. I will see how this works for the next week and a half.

Flexibility is a must to being consistent.

    What time do you get up for work? When my schedule changed to 4-10 hr days, I had to readjust my exercise schedule as well. I started getting up 30 - 45 minutes earlier and it has worked for me. As a matter of fact, I've learned that I have more energy during the day when I exercise in the mornings.

    Do what you need to, to make this the best for you so your not tiring yourself out between work and workouts. Definitely allow yourself some down time.
