My 1st 5K ... sort of ...

Wow ... it's been awhile since I've written anything. Guess I was off track longer than I thought. The good news is that I'm BACK! I feel strong and determined and have a couple goals! I've just started training to RUN a 5K! I've walked them before, but this time I'm going to run it! I'm doing this with a girl friend and she is motivating me. Through my excitement, I've inspired at least 2 more people to do this! What an exhilarating feeling! I am so excited and can not wait to hit the pavement running! emoticon

    I'm following the 5K-101 program. You can download the podcasts to your mp3 player and just do what he tells you to do! I love it ... and best of all ... it's FREE! Congrats to you on your 1st & 2nd 5k's!

    Good for you! I walked my first 5K two weeks ago, and my second last week, and have scheduled my third for this week. On June 1, I'm starting the "Couch to 5K" (C25K) program so that by the end of the summer, I can run my first 5K. Thanks for your enthusiasm - it helps me reach my goals, too!
