Depression after Long Runs

Just curious as to how many of my running friends might get depressed a day or two after their long runs. I am beginning to notice a pattern that on runs 10+ about two day afterwards I get in this funk. At first I thought it might be food and rest but I made sure this last time to get plenty of rest and eat the right foods, but still I am in this funk today. I know it will pass, guess just want to know its not just me and maybe some ways (if possible) to avoid it in the future.

    Well, it has been WAY too long since I have done a long run... so I'm not really in a position to talk. But I will anyway, lol! I have a friend who just recently realized she would come down with a cold and feel lousy several days after each long run. It's certainly a stress on the body (a GOOD stress, but a significant stress nonetheless), so I imagine it can have an effect an all body systems - who knows - maybe even brain chemistry? Hope you get some good answers, and that you are starting to feel like yourself again! Take care! emoticon
