What happened to all the awesome weather? It's not even 45 anymore, and I was really loving the 75 and sunny! We couldn't go to the botanical gardens this weekend... :-(
My cough still hasn't gone away, even though at the pharmacist's suggestions I switched to Robitussin and finished a bottle. So tomorrow morning I have an appointment at the medical center. Hopefully they can get this crud out! I have never had trouble shaking something like this before!
I phased up, so now I'm allowed to wear civilian clothing outside of the school day! This weekend, I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill in my Vibrams for the first time in months. Funny, the bruise on the ball of my foot that bothered me so much when I was running in my boot camp sneakers didn't hurt at all. My feet felt awesome!
I'm considering getting a pair of the New Balance Minimus Road shoes so I have something acceptable for group PT and that has a little more cushioning for bouncing around on hard floors and running on pavement. They seem to be closer to barefoot than Nike Frees but not as close to barefoot as the Vibrams. I'm thinking I'll get the men's shoe because the blue and green is awesome. I'm sorry, New Balance, but the white and orange women's shoe is just ugly! No way!
Tonight for dinner, I cooked up a small piece of grass-fed beef liver and two sunny-side-up eggs. I gotta say, the grass-fed stuff is really that much better. It was still liver-y, but really mild. I actually enjoyed it (as opposed to just eating it). Looking forward to the same dinner tomorrow!
Hubby and I explored the Virginia Beach area a little more this weekend. It's too bad it's such crummy weather. We're both kind of itching to see the beach and the ocean! But we had surf-n-turf for dinner on Saturday, and the shrimp was so fresh it was unbelievable! I was beside myself. And now we found a few cool little restaurants to check out. Here's hoping for a little more adventure and a little less driving this weekend!
Hopped into the car in my dress blues. Yay!
