This was a trip of a lifetime for the four of us! We had a 9 Day Carribean Cruise aboard the beautiful Norwegian Dawn. Our first cruise, and we loved it! Of course my 16 year old loved the fact he could eat 24-7, and he did!!! The food was awesome, not to mention being pampered and served. How glorious no chores for me, just had to relax.
The ports of call were Dominican, Virgin Islands, Antiqua, Barbados, and St. Kits. Very beautiful islands, and the beaches were gorgeous! A little fact for you, there are more monkeys on the island of St. Kits than people, and they are very cute, what kid didn't want to take one home. The exercise was lots and lots of walking. Sure didn't mind in the hot weather, gives you such a lift as it has been months since the sun felt sooo good. It still continues to feel like winter at home, minus temperatures.
Now pumped with Vitamin D I have returned to being mom the maid, while dreaming of my next adventure. I want to cruise again, seems the way to go, like an inclusive resort, but get to see many places of interest. I am a very motion sick person, so it only took 17 years for my husband to talk me into it, and I was fine. Two rough nights, and gravol did the trick, so happy it turned out so well.
The boys made some wonderful friendships on the ship, and with the thanks to facebook they can keep in touch. It was a wonderful to see them have so much fun, and see different countries. They have only been to Florida, so this was awesome for them, and I am blessed we all got to do it together.
I only went up 4 pounds which is great since I was really getting into the desserts, ordered anything you wanted on the menus, so I did lose control near the end of the cruise. I think all the walking saved the scale too.
Anyways time to do the chores, I can dream about the next trip. Oh ya I must save some money first, darn!!
