Spark to 5K - Week 2, Day 1

After getting almost 5 inches of snow yesterday, I wasn't so sure that I'd be getting out to wog today...but that's the beauty of Spring Snow -- here today, gone tomorrow! I can't believe it all melted!

It was still freezing though -- wore my long pants, long running shirt, gloves and my fluffy blue sparkly hat.

Intervals this week are 3 minutes walking/1.5 minutes jogging. 6 reps total today.

Stats (from RunKeeper):

Time - 27:14

Distance - 2.00 miles

Average Pace - 13:35 min/mile

At first the added 30 seconds to the jogging interval seemed tough, but once I got my belly breathing going it actually went pretty well!

And I remembered to stretch after the wog...but like 2 hours afterward. Better late than never :)

    That sounds awesome! I have to admit I'm letting the cold (20/30 degree days) keep me inside and away from running. But I can't wait for it to be nice weather! Keep up the great work!

    You are doing awesome! I feel like a sloth as I haven't done a darn thing since I got back...and I suppose we only have 6 months or less until the big race. Keep up te great work, you are doing great :)
