It is true! I found it on the web site. I came in third in my age group in my 5K race. I don't know that I want that fact to change anything and yet I am unabashedly an award junkie. Yesterday, I bought two running books. This morning I tried a 4 minute run/1 minute walk workout for 40 minutes after a 5 minute walking warm up. I included a couple speed intervals. It felt good. Think I want to keep running and if I can win a few awards along the way, all to the good. But my real goal is health and my secondary goal is weight maintenance.
Did I mention weight? Yesterday at Weight Watchers I had my lowest weigh in there ever at 125.6. I am truly trying to maintain, but if I drop another pound or two it would not matter. I am feeling strong and healthy. And I now know I am a runner!
