i'm writing this as a blog entry so that in a few weeks when I forget, I know where to come look...
a GREAT couple of easy but easily forgotten tricks for drinking water:
1) measure the amount of water your glass holds. 1 cup = 8 oz. my drinking glasses that I use for water hold 2 cups worth. so every time i finish a glass, i get to mark down 2 done instead of 1!
2) have tap water in a lidded pitcher (preferably glass) in the fridge. the cold takes away from the yuck (I actively dislike the taste of guelph water, where I live), and when you go into the fridge for "something", there's your water staring at you!
3) if you hate the chlorine in tap water, leave the pitcher open on the counter for a couple of hours first. all of the chlorine evaporates!
4) have fun with your water - i put orange slices in my pitcher this time, but cucumber, lemon slices, lime slices, cantaloupe chunks all add flavour and fragrance to the water without adding sugar or calories or chemicals or colouring!
these are ways i've gone quickly from struggling with my water to loving it.
