Baby and getting back on track.

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Baby Morgan was born on February 3, 2011 at 7lbs 14 oz. She was 10 days late and I can now have sympathy for those that were overdue. It is not fun. I did not enjoy the waiting process. But we are pretty excited that our little girl is here. She is now smiling and is a joy to us.

So where am I. I am 16 lbs heavier than what I was when I got pregnant and am hoping that I will see my weight go down. My doctor gave me the o.k to return to normal exercise again and am excited about that. I am breast feeding and know that I have some limitations to make sure that Morgan is getting enough to eat. I also know that I have been slipping lately in my healthy eating habits and need to get back to them. So I have started tracking my food and am working on making sure I am getting enough fruits and veggies. I also know that I need to drink more water, especially since Morgan is drinking a lot of my water. I am also getting back into my exercise routine. I just want to make sure that I am doing things to work on the weight. I know that I can do it, just like I did before. I hope to see the weight start going down. It will be a slow and steady process. So here I go!!!!

Congrats on your new baby and welcome back. Sounds like you know what to do to be successful and I see your 40 pound badge so don't worry! I think you're going to bounce back into shape. Enjoy that baby, they grow up fast.

Hi! Welcome back and CONGRATS on the birth of your little girl! What a blessing she is for your family. It is indeed a miracle to see a new little one. What a long wait for you as well. Ten days is a long time!

That's great that you are able to start normal exercising again. You are right that you will need to continue making healthy choices in your food; especiall with breastfeeding!

Our Colorado Christian Women Spark Team is having a team fellowship on April 30. You may have seen some of the messages and posts about it. It is actually going to be in Loveland! (I think I remember that you live in Loveland too!) We are going to sign up for Sierra's Race Against Meningitis, which is 3.1 mile walk or run. Then all of us will convene at my home in west Loveland for fellowship and good, yummy food. If you could join us, that would be great! If the 3.1 miles is a big hurdle for you right now, please consider coming for the fun of meeting folks!

Be blessed!
Julia : )
