Moving forward, despite the circumstances

Made it through the weekend without getting too sick to work...which is a plus!
Had three very successful gigs, and no cake. Even though the cake looked very very good!
My husband interviewed for a position at a company on Friday, and they made him an offer of sorts...a three month contract with no benefits and the chance of being an employee. Not the kind of offer we are looking for, so he is negotiating with them now. My youngest son is now sick, and it really stinks not having health insurance. I had nightmares last night that I had breast cancer and was not insured. Argh.
I managed to get an interview in my home pushed back until Saturday so that I can get rid of or sort out the abundance of "stuff" that we have inherited from my father in law. Some has been useful, in Sunday School we are learning about the Garden of Eden, so I used his peat pots and seeds with my little class to plant wildflowers. The kids were thrilled!
Today I am going to work on my taxes until my husband leaves for a class at the Department of Transportation. I plan on swimming today, and bringing my bike up from the basement. I haven't used it once inside, and the weather is getting warmer.
It was a good feeling to hear the rain, and not worry about getting water in the basement since we had our leak fixed on Friday. Even though we are totally self employed right now, I think it is still possible to move forward. I was inspired by a recent issue of Newsweek Magazine which featured 150 women in the world that are making a difference. Reading about what they have accomplished makes what I need to do seem trivial. So, it's off to deposit money, work on paperwork, and swim.
It's going to be a good week!
Have a great one!
