Down .6 today. I think I am startgin to get the hang of this. I am doing a melba toast or two and serving of approved fruit more than I should - but as long as the scale keeps going down, I feel good, and am able to stick with 90% of the plan, I am ok with that little blip.
I am happy that I have 2 weeks almost down and I hope I can do the entire 6 weeks and 3 weeks maintainence. I am trying to look at the days past versus what the time I have a head of me!
I would love a piece of whole grain toast, organic butter, and strawberry jam - but it is nice that although I want it, I do not feel like I am being deprived. I am doing strawberries with my 100 grams of cottage cheese and a little bit of powered stevia for lunch along with some steamed spinach with lemon and salt.
I think my taste buds are waking up, too. I put cinnamon on my apple slices yesterday and had to go check the cinnamon bottle to make sure there was no sugar and then rechecked the bag of sliced apples. No sugar in either.
So my plan is to finish up this 6 week round followed by the 3 day no hcg but VLCD plan, then start adding in normal amounts of good fats, fruits, veggies, and lean proteins (look out Chipolte - here I come) but no added sugar, processed food, or refined carbs for 3 weeks then start adding in good carbs and dairy gradually and see how I do. I am also going to do Preventions walk off the weight program until summer. If I am in thehigh 140's or 150's I will do another 3 week round or two mid summer. The final number I have in mind is 130 - 133 (at 5'3"). I am hoping this plan does what the original doctor theorized and does change diencehelon and set point/metabolism.
Off to finish up laundry - well it is never really finished is it? Actually I think I will take a walk first - learning to prioritize my health is part of this journey!
Cottage cheese does not seem to keep me full like other proteins - so i may bag that for a while.
Italian wedding soup with chicken breast meatballs and no noodles for dinner. Pretty good and a nice change. I may need to cook up a batch of meatballs to pull out of the freezer.
I am a bit tired today but I think i have shorted my self on water. i am going to have several glasses right now and work on that tomorrow.
