I've often wondered about this frequently quoted 'fact'
and this weekend I am challenging myself to try to prove it.
Well in theory if i burn 3500 calories today I should see the scale go down by a lb tomorrow. Well I think its worth a try my weight loss has pretty much levelled out so so i want to see what happens
step one : stand on the scale 191.8 lbs (impressively down a lb from last week.
step two get on the cross trainer .. I dont for a second intend to do this all in one go but i'd like to get it done today - if i run out of time then I will finish any left over calsories tomorrow.
3 mins warm up 30 mins training 3 mins cool down 358 calories
20 mins training 3 mins cool down another 220 calories
2922 calories left to burn.

So I finished the day about 1200 calories short ... I slightly underestimated just how long it was going to take !!
...but I lost 0.8 lbs so it was a worthwhile experiment
