So many "eating events"

Friday, March 18, 2011

This weekend is chock-full of social events - yay!
Seeing people I care about recharges my sense of well-being.

However, all of these events involve food, which I am handling better, but have a long way to go. Blogging about the anxiety it causes me to "face the brunch buffet" responsibly is the first step, right?

I've planned ahead this week and will indulge a bit, but will remember that there will be more rich food in the future, and a little can go a long way to satisfy me. (Also, I honestly don't like the feeling of being over-full, so I need to remember that, as well.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Isn't it amazing that so many people talk about wanting to be healthy, but when they plan a social event, it's the gooey, salty, fatty, sweet stuff that makes it on the menu? Been there, done that, ashamed of the T-shirt!
emoticon You're right...planning ahead is the key...and reminding yourself that there will be more goodies later...and that you don't LIKE to feel stuffed...ALL good strategies! emoticon Enjoy the fellowship!

What happens at events, food wise, happens LONG before you arrive.
