    It sounds like you have put a lot of thought into where you went a stray and have a plan in place so that today will be better. I really enjoyed the honesty of your vlog and can certainly relate to it.

I love the STOP acronym.

    Thank you so much for the video blog! It was nice to hear your lovely voice and listen to how you are going. I am so sorry your cat isn't home yet. If my kitty were to disappear I'd be inconsolable. I sure hope s/he comes back.

Also, I want to suggest you change your perspective on fast food. If you look at a McD burger, for example, as something you want but won't allow yourself to have, then it's pretty much inevitable you will end up having one. If not today, then tomorrow or the next day. Instead, think of all the chemicals, or the fat content, or the lack of hygene some restaurant folks have, or whatever else would make you associate a McD burger with a "gross!" reaction. If you do that, over and over and over, you will be able to drive by a McD and not want to stop.

It sounds silly, but it works! I did it a few years ago with sweets. I used to have a super wicked sweet tooth. There wasn't a donut, cake, muffin or other pastry I wouldn't crave, eat, want and dream about. And then, every time I saw something sweet I made myself think about how horrible my body feels when I haven't had any food and I have sugar and then crash. Now, I see sweets and my first automatic thought is "Ugh, that will make me feel sick!" I no longer have to fight myself to not eat whatever pastry is in front of me - it's just not appealing any more. Works like a charm, every time!!!!

    Please don't beat yourself up emoticon for what you ate or what you should have eaten. So you ate a few desserts and you enjoyed them emoticon , but you were also burning a lot of calories each day because you were standing most of the time and moving around and you were busy the entire time emoticon . It's really not worth doing or even worrying about because you know that you will just start where you left off. You are a good person inside and you did a lot of good during that week. emoticon And you have the determination and desire to lose the weight.

If you can't do lower body workouts, do upper core and arm exercises. The 3lbs you gained will be lost in a few days. Remember weight does fluctuate, some do to salt intake.

I did more steps yesterday and ate less because I had a dentist appt so I didn't eat lunch and this morning my weight went up .5lb, so figure, but I didn't worry about it because by the end of the week the weight will be down again. Today I had 2 slices of pizza and I'll burn it off by the weekend, hopefully and if not, no big deal.....why because I'll continue working out and exercising.

    SOOO sorry you haven't found Cosmo yet! Not knowing is always tough.

May I suggest that you don't have to wait till your legs can get your heart rate up (and burn calories) with your upper body. Learn about it here:

If the link is not permitted, do a google search for Orchestra Conductors...there are articles explaining how conductors for orchestras have a longer life span...and it is attributed to using their arms to conduct!!! So, just put on your favorite music and conduct!!! You'll get your heart rate up and get your exercise in, while still giving your legs a rest. There are lots of arm exercises you can do.

I am so glad you had the opportunity to do the volunteer work you did...I love doing it also. Those desserts do call you...and some of the menus are not healthy for those of us watching our food intake. That's behind you don't fret about it...just go forward. Your 3+ lbs will drop right back off if you get busy right away. Get that water in, will help.

Whatever you do, DON'T quit. emoticon YES you CAN!
