I survived a work party!!

Today I was in charge of a co-workers birthday party. She requested brownies and Mint Choc Chip Ice cream! MY two fav's!!!!!

So yesterday I headed to Shoprite and bought brownies with gooey fudge frosting on the top,,,the smell wafted through my car as I drove home...and I stood my ground! Those brownies will not get the best of me. There will be a day and time one day when I can have a small brownie, but TODAY is not that day!
Yes, I did buy her the Mint Chip ice cream........... but I bought Sugar Free ice cream as well so I could have a little bit..... and some lite cool whip!

Most people at the party actually had the sugar free ice cream instead! I just wish they would all get the hint and when it is there time to be in charge, they should get healthy options for those who are watching their calories!

But, regardless, I can't change other people, I can only change MYSELF and My CHOICES!

I can't change my husband......... who continues to be in denial about his diabetes........

Today was a good day.... a very good day...

Great going! You CAN do it!! You're proving it every day. Keep it up. I'm doing so much better on phase II. It's probably mostly mental!! Have a great weekend. Stay sparked. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Kudos to you! I LOVE brownies and mint chocolate chip ice cream too! Now I'm craving them both! I do think I will make my black bean brownies as a way to compromise with myself!
