Inches, Not Pounds

I guess you have to be happy with what you get, because I sure don't have time for any more exercise at this point, although I am looking forward to spring/summer/fall walks outside! When they clear the piles of black, filthy snow/ice out of the park, that is....*sigh* I live in a rather untidy, poorly organized town, drats!

Anyway, the fact is that this winter saw a burning-off of inches, but no pounds. I hovered between 217 and 218, and I'm finally down the closest I've been to 217 in weeks now, so I thought I'd enter a new weight. I've gone down progressly over the last three weeks, so I have a *smidgen* of hope that just maybe there's a new trend beginning.

I'm trying a new technique, where I eat as I please on the weekends, doing Weight Watchers (strictly) only Mon - Fri. I still use WW guidelines on the weekends in terms of portion control; I don't stuff myself, in other words. But I eat more "fun" food, like corned beef hash at breakfast, white Italian bread toast instead of strictly Ezekiel Bread, and the addition of more of the nuts, yogurt and granola I love to eat. Yes, yes, I know, it doesn't sound that bad--it's not, it's just more than I get during the week, when I'm working on a calorie deficit.

After the first weekend of this, I lost .2 and the next, another .2. After this 3rd weekend, my pants were really loose on me on Tuesday, and I show a .4 drop in weight today--total, .8 over three weeks. Not a lot, but it's the first break in my plateau since November, people!!!

By the way, this is all an extension of calorie cycling, which works well for me overall. Psychologically, not just physically.

So I'll continue. I'm still getting on the bike and going to my trainer and such, but I've not had the time to track it here on Spark....THIS is a rare break, coming to Spark today!

So, back to the plateau...err, day. *lol* Hopefully the trend I've started on, combined with walks to begin in the near future, will continue!

    You are losing inches...and with the new muscle, the pounds might start dropping quicker. Glad you're back on SP. I do both WW and SP. too.
