I unfriended someone who is losing weight really fast and makes me feel bad (not purposely I'm sure) for being such a darn slow loser.

This person is not inspirational to me, and just makes me feel guilty for my own personal habits.

I realize these are probably just my own issues that need to be dealt with, but for now, getting rid of her feed on my home page is what I needed to do.

Tell me how you feel about this.

I agree, you have to do what feels right to you and if that means not having her as a friend than so be it.

You have to do what works for you. I agree with the other posters that this weight loss journey is really difficult and we're trying to do the best we can, so keep anything that helps and ditch anything that hinders so that you can keep on going!

What is your criteria for adding friends? I look at people's spark pages that have over 100 friends. Do they really keep up with that many people? I don't add someone, unless I sense some kind of a connection, a way that we can mutually support and motivate each other on this journey. I am not offended if someone does mot add me, or drops me. We are free to interact with anyone we choose, whether we "friend" them or not. Sometimes we just have a word of encouragement for someone, a one time thing, no need to feel obligated. I LOVE getting the comments from an unexpected source. Surprises are nice. You have a good heart. Follow it.

I think you have to do what's right for you! I find it incredibly frustrating to see people ZIP through weight loss when a TON of sweat, sacrifice and diligence *might* net me a loss of 5lbs in a month. I will NEVER be a person to lose 2-3lbs/week or even 10/month. Not gonna happen. And it might be silly to opt out of friendships because seeing others do that makes ME feel bad, but we face so much difficulty along the way in this journey, I think all the little things count, you know? And if unfriending someone like that helps, you gotta do it.

lol..i've done it too! like you said, i don't think it was intentional but reading her positive..woohoo another 3 lbs for me this week.. feeds literally broke me. i'd get angry at her and then myself and that's not what this is about.

have a guilt free day!
