I am feeling on fire this morning!!! I'm full of energy and a great attitude. I had a long talk yesterday with a friend who happens to be an enormous body builder about my weight loss. I seem to be at a point where things are changing slower than they were --- and I thought they were slow to begin with!!! LOL!
I've been heading to the gym, eating really well, and drinking all my water but it seems if I want faster results I need to change it up yet again!! What was my large chums recommendation? He suggested that I add more weight lifting (just not my legs as the running seems to be taking care of them quite nicely!) and eat more like a weight lifter. I can tell you right off the bat that one of those things is not happening!! He is the strangest eater I ever met. Protein shakes and unseasoned chicken breasts. Ahh, no thanks. BUT, I do understand what he's saying. Not all calories are created equally and, at least according to him, certain foods will go straight to fat while others will turn into energy or muscle. Gotch ya!!
The weight lifting isn't that big of a deal although I don't think I ever want to look as big as him!!! LOL!! He suggested I work on my back which is a large muscle and he scolded me for not working on my chest. (I hate push ups. YUCK!) So, I came home from the gym and asked my hubby if he would like to lift weights with me and he said he would be glad to. Did we lift last night? Ummmm, no but I think I can get him (and myself) motivated for tonight!!
I'm heading to the gym this afternoon for another date with my friend the elliptical. I think I'll do intervals today. I need the challenge!!!
