Hi all,
Hope you are all off to a great start again this week. I can hardly believe that tomorrow I will be 20 weeks and half way through this pregnancy. Sometimes it seems like it's dragging on and other times it's flying by.
This past week has been pretty slow and dull. Tom started his new position so he switched from Monday-Thursday shifts to Tuesday- Friday. This meant he was home with me Friday and again yesterday. It was nice to have him home. We went to our local mall which I hate because it's partially an outlet mall and partially a regular mall. It's just weird and laid out really badly. In any case we wanted to look at the Motherhood Maternity outlet which wasn't really an outlet, it had regularly priced items and a few racks of really old stuff that was hideous and still not that inexpensive. Oh well. While there we found out the Coach store was opening so like big dummies we waited in line- yes waited in line- as they let 3 people in at a time to look around. I have my heart set on a Coach diaper bag but they didn't have very many at this outlet so I am holding out for when I go to PA next weekend, maybe I will find one and save myself the tax money!
In any case the rest of the weekend was spent lounging, cleaning and doing misc house stuff. We picked out the paint for the kitchen so that Tom can get started on that next weekend. We also cleaned out the garage and basement which was good since it needed to be organized. We also cleaned out old paint from the garage and dropped off clothing and books at Goodwill. I am purging as much as I can now because we do not have enough storage space as it is so I need to make room. I have already gone through both of our closets 3 times and donated a good amount.
We had another ultrasound on Thursday last week to check back in on my fluid. It's still not where it should be but at this point it's not critical. They gave me more instruction to drink even more water than I already am and come back in 3 weeks. I'm lucky that I have the opportunity to get as many ultrasounds as I do with this doctor. Luckily my doctor has an ultrasound tech on site so it's including in my visit and they don't have to submit an additional claim to my insurance. I think I'm spoiled. I've had more ultrasounds with this baby than my sister had with both of hers.
I also ran for the first time since right after getting pregnant last week. I didn't run for all this time because at first my boobs were so sensitive that I would literally cringe. Then my belly just felt heavy and I was freaking myself out about it. Well a friend of mine motivated me to try because I do really miss it. I gave it a shot and it went really well. I didn't run steady since it's been so long but I ran intervals. It was so nice to be able to feel good running again. I missed it more than I thought and already ran again today. I'm glad to be back at it and already talked to the doctor and he said go for it until he determines it unsafe so I am going for it! No marathons or speed training going on but a nice steady slow pace and I love it!
That's it for this week! Here is the weekly belly shot!
