Good Intentions!

I was so excited and motivated yesterday because I had such a great workout on Sunday, but by the time I came home from work it was cold and nasty and I just made excuses not to go work out. I spent time with my hubby instead before we picked up the kids at daycare. I really should have worked out, because my legs are absolutely killing me now and that probably would have made them feel a little better. Has anybody had the front of their legs hurt (it almost feels like the bone that runs in front of my calves). Wierd.

I read a blog on sparkpeople a while back that said a visual of how many pounds lost is a great tool, and they suggested a paperclip chain, using 1 paperclip for each pound. I made that and have it posted right on my board at work. The good news (since I don't want anyone at work knowing that I'm trying to lose weight) is that it's not obvious to everyone else what it is. Great suggestion. Thank you for the idea!

    It was my first run in probably a year...I'm I'm totally out of shape. I'll definately tell hubby he's on massage duty!

    Hmmm... sounds like you've got some shin splints. Was that your first run in a while, or farther than usual? I usually get them when I haven't been jogging in a while. Massaging the muscle in your shin helps. Make hubby do it, since he distracted you from your workout :)
