Exercise High?

I'm not sure what happened, but I sure hope to repeat it. I woke up in a terrific mood - I don't think I've ever said that on the day the clocks spring forward. But I'm on vacation and have a week to adjust. I was meandering around here for quite a while and though jeez I need to get off my backside and get a work out done. I hadn't eaten (can't work out right after eating) and I was getting hungry.
So I went through the DVDs and put in a hard one. What the heck right? I needed a challenge so I put in a 55 minute Billy Blank Tae Bo supercharged something or other with the Amped stick thingie. 17 minutes in I hit my ankle with the stick and wow that hurt. But I kept going and while my form was ridiculously bad I made it through the entire workout. That was really rough. But it seemed to really concentrate on arms and my legs didn't feel too darn warn out so I put in Gin Miller Everybody Steps. I made it through that entire workout also (110 minutes total for both workouts) but just barely!
Of course by then I could have eaten a horse, but settled for a fully decked out Outback steak, loaded baked potato and salad. Although it killed me in a few categories I did finally get the protein range correct. I never thought I would have this much trouble getting protein - always been a meat and potatoes gal and never realized how very often I eat meatless meals! I don't care if the ultimate calories today are too much because I burned that meal!!!!!! And I've kept that amazing mood to boot! Maybe this is my very first" runner's" high?

    So thats what this is!! I have been in such a great mood lately! I did not attribute it to working out and eating better!! Wow I like it!!!

    Oh my goodness! This 71 year old lady is jealous. LOL I would be lucky if I walked on the tredmill for 10 minutes at a moderate pace. Great going! Keep it up!

    Congrats on the first "runner's" high! Isn't it great to wake up in a good mood and stay that way all day! Hope tomorrow is even better!
