Ever Feel Like Turning In The Towel.....

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Please, don't!! Like many of you, I've thought about it. Many times. Having been on this site for almost 2 years, I have watched Spark friends come and go. Some have returned, some haven't.

Before we realize it, the stress in our lives can take center stage and knock us right off our journey. It's hard to stay focused when you have life coming at you, at every turn. We have families, careers, financial woes, health issues, etc. LIFE is a part of our journey. It is what it is. We need to be mindful, that without our health and well being, we are but a shell of our true selves. (I get that now).

Have you ever thought, you had found just the right plan, or program for you? Only, later you discovered, it's not THE one. Or, you could no longer get the same results. I have on both counts. Either way, to say I was frustrated is an understatement. {To the newbies, I'm not trying to scare you.} I'm just sharing......

My point?! Don't give up. Keep striving to reach your goals, whatever they may be. Be consistent. Love yourself enough to keep at it. You'll love the results......and you will feel amazing!!

Thanks to my Spark-family, for inspiring and encouraging me on my journey....I won't be turning in the towel! Love You!!

Congrats Sparksis on your anniversary! Bet you feel 100% better now. You are an amazing and loyal Sparkfriend. As you said, sometimes we forgot to put our health first and we know we can't be our best for others if we are not taking of ourselves. I have allowed myself to get sucked in to letting work overtake the rest of my life (again)but that's over now.
Thanks for the perfect blog to help me settle back onto the wagon.
Love ya

Don't know how I missed this one but I do know "throwing in the towel" isn't an option for me either....I'd miss you and my other close spark friends too much! :) It also "stinks" when people leave any don't even say goodbye.

Thanks for your unwavering support you are such a gem!

Arlene... emoticon on being smoke free and on your progress! That is such an accomplishment!

I always get a little sad when I see someone as disabled their sparkpage or just aren't responding anymore. I miss them but I think I also wonder if that could happen to me. Not that going off Spark is necessarily bad...maybe they needed a break or maybe they found something else that works for them. But I always hope that they haven't given up on themselves.

Keep on sparking and thanks for being such a great spark friend!

Well said, my friend. It is sooo easy to give up, but we must continue on this path. I won't quit either.

I'm so proud of your smoke-free life. You are so AWESOME!

Yes we have to keep on....remember it's a journey. If we have one bady day, it's fine, it's a part of life. The key is to dust yourself off and get back on the wagon tomorrow :-)

I am so proud of you! You are proof positive that you can do what you want to do, if you want to do it bad enough!!!! You are awesome! I have lost too many relatives due to lung cancer, including my dear sweet Mom, so I take it personal when someone quits smoking and celebrates another DAY, (which adds to years) with cleaner lungs!
Thanks for this awesome blog, and we love you too!

You are so right Arlene. Where health is concerned giving up is not really an option if we want to survive some of the stress that we encounter on this life journey. Thanks for being an inspiration to all of us. You are doing great!
