Jesse is in town now!

Jesse was recently transferred from Atlanta to a rehab nursing center here in Warner Robins. Woo Hoo! no more 4 hour driving days! the place he is at now is only about 20 minutes from home! They have already used a lift to get him up in a wheelchair! e was exhausted afterwards though considering he has been bedridden for about 6 weeks now! I am really angry at the last hospital because we found two bedsores on his bottom area that they never told me about nor did they bother to tell this hospital. not good at all. Jesse has good days where he makes sense talking and bad days where he is on another planet. All in all I'm happy with his progress so far and am anxious to get him home!

    so glad to hear this, that he is closer. I continue to pray for you. It sounds like this place is already better for him and you since they have found the bed sores. Praying for healing of those areas. Enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. Is he able to get outside in it at all? Vitamin D sunshine is good for all of us.

    Praise the Lord that Jesse is closer to home. You and Jesse are in my thoughts and prayers daily!!! Continuing prayers for a complete and rapid recovery and have added the healing of the bed sores also.
Be sure to take some me time just for you, Sarah, and get the rest that your body needs. What a relief to know that he is so close to you. Wish I lived closer so I could help you.

    Hi Sarah,

I'm happy to hear that Jesse is so much closer to home, for your sake & his! I hope by now that this hospital staff's care is showing some effect in the healing of those bedsores. His healing in that regard will improve much as they get him up into the wheelchair and moving around as much as he's able. I continue to pray that your energy level remains and Jesse's "fog" lifts a little more each day.

    Oh Sarah, I am SOOOOOOOO glad that Jesse is so much closer to home now. Now you can visit with him any time you want. Just the 4 hour drives alone is enough to exhaust anyone, let alone someone with their plate already overfilled with stress.

Next move will be to home!!

I am so sorry to learn that the other hospital did not let you or the rehab know about the bed sores. Hopefully he will now have all that clearing up as well, and be well on his way now to a COMPLETE and speedy recovery.

I keep praying that EVERYTHING will work out for him & you, too.

    This is great news. A four hour drive can make you nuts. I did it for a year when I bought a farm but still needed to drive to work. It was awful. I did listen to books on tape and did my devotions in the car.

So happy for you that he is closer and by the sounds of the bed sores it is good he is out of the hospital. No exuse for that ever.

He will do a lot better now that he has you

    I'm so glad for you & Jesse, Sarah - God is good! Praise Him that Jesse is doing better, but yes, there was no good reason to ignore the decubs. Praying you & the new facility will be able to get them healed quickly, & that he will soon be able to communicate normally - all the time!

PRAISING GOD for this new development Sarah!! I don't blame you...they should have been more honest....I pray he will receive awesome care where he is, and that GOD will continue to heal him!!

    Oh I am so happy for you and so thankful. Bedsores yea after 6wks in bed, but that should have been brought to your attenion and the new hosp. you are right. So glad you dont have so far to go and that you will be able to rest more, and be right on top of things too.
