Today is weigh in. Usually that means stress. Not today.

This past week I have been doing what I should be doing all the time.

I stopped eating when I had had enough.

I got in a lot of exercise.

I drank at a minimum of 8 glasses of water each day.

I logged in every single bite of food I put in my mouth.............well, ALMOST every bite.

I got into my jeans, zipped them and buttoned them without having to lay on the bed. I can even BREATHE with my jeans on! AND I don't have much of a muffin top at all when I wear them.

I KNEW my weight was down.

So far, in three weeks, I have thrown away 4 pounds. That's a good thing, as Martha would say.

But WAIT! There's MORE!

Yesterday I had to do some Costco shopping for milk.

I got the milk, then browsed through the clothing section. They had sports bras, 2 per package, at a VERY good price. Picked up a package of them.

Then I saw these really neat sweaters for $12.97. Picked up one of them, too.

BTW.........you ARE aware, aren't you, that when the cost of something at Costco ends in a 7 that that is the lowest price they will have the item, and it won't be continued stock? I always look for the 7.

My mind tried to trick me into "browsing" through the chocolate covered raisins, macadamia nuts, cashews. I reached for the chocolate covered macadamias, and then said "NO!" really loud.

I pulled my arm back just in time. The container did not get into my cart! emoticon

Then I go past the mixed nuts, temptation again. "NO!" outloud helped again.

I zoomed to the check out, paid for my three items, and got out of there.

What a VICTORY!!! emoticon TO ME AND SPARK!!

Congrats! That is awesome! So glad the weight is coming off and you are full of energy. Chocolate covered nuts are the hardest for me. That is one thing that just isn'T allowed in my home. I will invariably eat the whole bag in nothing. One handful at a time, they keep calling me back. It is seriously an addiction, and just as an AA member doesn't keep beer in the fridge, I don't dare put those chocolate covered nuts in the shopping cart. Thanks for proving that we can do it! You are the best!

    Good job! emoticon

I was going to write to you tonight and see how you are doing. This blog answered all my questions.
DH went to Costco yesterday unplanned. The first I knew of it was when he called and asked if I wanted more Cod (they were out last time we were in the store). He did pick up some foods that I'd rather not have in the house, but I've been good about leaving them alone (at least for now).

    Keep up the good work.

Doesn't it feel good to do what is right and be rewarded for it?
    Keep going in this direction.
And, I did NOT know about the Costco 7. Thanks.

Glad you could resist the Chocolate Candies! But NUTs are actually good for you... walnuts and pecans the least amount of fat, but a good fat! Thanks for the info on Costco. I have not been there in a while, may start going again. I did not know that about the 7!

But will tell you something.... retailers know, if its displayed first thing as you come in the store you will be more enticed to buy it! But also if you DONT touch it, you have less chance of buying it, so train yourself not to TOUCH things, because the more you FEEL somethings the more chances you will BUY IT! Also dont go when they are baking Bake goods or barbecuing a Chicken , unless you want those items; because when you smell things being baked or cooked you will browse longer and BUY more! Becasue smelling baked goods makes you feel more comfortable (liek your HOME) and you will tend to browse longer and the longer You BROWSE , the more you spend! So your best bet, spend less time in the store, just get what you want and leave; because the longer your in a store, the more chances are you will FILL up your cart! Also if there is a choice of sizes of carts, always choose the smaller one, because the bigger the cart, the more you will buy; so best to pick up a small carrier basket, because people who grab those smaller containers wont buy more than what they hold! Good to remember (My son is in Retail, so I know those tricks!) Also, never take a sample of stuff because many people are entice to, but will feel guilty about taking a sample without buying the item! So to stifle the urges of GUILT will buy that item! Its why the Retailers have such samples available, because they know about GUILT! (Retailers knwo that too!) So the mroe sampeks you have the mroe times your targ=eted and will buy those items!

emoticon for you on the loss and on that victory at Costco! There are things that call my name there, too. Thanks for the pricing tip, I did not realize that. I will be keeping an eye out for those 7s now. You are doing great, Sandy!
