Back on Track

Saturday, March 12, 2011

I've been really discouraged this past week, both with personal issues and my weight loss program. I had decided I was going to quit taking my meds (including my insulin), quit going to doctors, and just let my life run its course. It didn't seem worth the effort to do otherwise. But with the counsel of SparkFriends and encouraging words of other friends, I realize that life is worth living and that I need to start getting back on track.

My emotions are still really raw, but I just wanted you to know that the words you say may seem trivial to you, but mean the world to others. They can be lifesaving without your ever knowing you made an impact. And so, dear Spark friends, when you have the opportunity, don't hesitate to give encouragement to others. You may save their sanity or their very lives. Even if you don't know the impact, you can know that it will be counted as good in the record of your life.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to give me the courage to go on.

No matter how low we may get at times, just remember, God is always there. He's there for you, and He's there for me.
God bless you and I hope you are well on your way to feeling more hopeful.

Live really is worth living and so glad that even though you are still in a sensitive spot you have decided to move forward. It's tough at times but it really is worth it. Hang in there!

Yes, Nina, life is worth living. Don't forget that you have many friends here who love you and want the best for you. Even though I have never met you, since I saw your picture for the first time I liked you. You have a kind face. I want you to take care of yourself and always hope for the future, no matter what. We all have to face many difficult situations in life, but we have to continue moving ahead. Every new day is a blessing.

What a great reminder and yes it is the small but important things one does that keeps someone going.... I KNOW!! A kind word a smile or just a little encouragement go a long ways! I hope as you start a new week it will be easier and that you can have some smiles along the way. emoticon
