so the physio was great last night. but i am under orders to rest the area of my chest that hurts.

Basically, one rib has been dislodged from my sternum, most likely from severe coughing fits towards the end of bronchitis i had a couple of weeks ago.

so i am to see the physio twice a week for the next few weeks so she can release pressure in my back and offer some relief to my chest, which should all promote quicker healing.

i felt better after seeing her, but this morning i woke up pretty stiff. and it is painful getting out of bed as it is. didn't help that bianca cat was walking up and down on me last night. silly kitty.

good news is that i can still ski. i mean, she said to avoid things that hurt and skiing doesn't hurt, so it's ok, right? i mean, it's easier than walking and i kind of have to do that a little bit.

in other news, my boss is stuck in japan right now with the earthquake. he spent the night in a bus terminal because the hotel is sold out. lots of people are unable to get home because transit is down all through tokyo (and many other places i imagine). most staff at our tokyo office spent the night in the office. everyone i know over there and their families are OK though, which is good news. it's sad that not everyone can say that. i was looking at BBC world news this morning and one report alledged that, after the tsunami, 200-300 bodies washed up on the shore near sendai. that's just tragic.

we've been cat sitting for a week, but the other cat goes home today. i think this'll make both cats happy, though they get along OK. i think they'll appreciate their own routines being back to normal.

Warm thoughts and positive energy to all our friends in Japan. Thank you for posting the info about Tokyo; I have a friend there.

I'm glad you are in PT - that should help. If your rib was adjusted, it could cause you stiffness and pain the next day as muscles and ligaments find their way back in place.

I'm glad you aren't in Tokyo with your sore ribs, and that your boss and co-worked are okay.
