How can I not be happy?

The sun is shining in ND. Forecasts call for highs in the 30s and 40s. Now those of you living in warmer climates might think I'm nuts, but boy is that great news for us in ND. We can't get to complacent as they are predicitinc some rougher temps and weather for the weekend, but then again warming up for next week. My prayers to those of you experiencing the flooding and other problems.

Two more days of school this week and then we have a week off. I'm enjoying listening to some of my students are anxiously awaiting cruises, trips to California and Arizona among others. Yes, it would be great, but I'll save the money and do much work around here.

I finally lost the pounds I gained during my birthday celebrations. Was the deviations from my food choices worth it? All-in-all I guess I would say it was. I hated the 2 pound gain and hated waiting for it come off again, but I also cherish the efforts that staff and students made and the special night out with my two best friends. I've been back on track and that's what life will be. Onward and downward. (I know that's not the correct statement, but I think it applies for us!)

I hope you all have a great day. I think mine will be, and if it's not, I'll just have to deal with it.

Woo Hoo!!! Happy Friday Eve!!! What a terrific attitude you have! I'm glad you aren't beating yourself up over the 2 lb gain. When you are trying to hard and you get off track, it is sometimes difficult to get it back together. But you did it!! And you lose the 2 lbs you gained!! A minor setback and what a blessing it was for both you and those who celebrated your birthday with you. I'd say you are loved!!! So, what will you do with your week off from school?

Gald you dropped those two pounds....but if you look at that the fact that you have alot of people who wanted to make sure you had a special day..2 pounds seems like nothing to worry about!!

It is funny aobut the weather and what you are in light jackets and enjoying the sunny it reached the 50`s which is about the coldest we are in pants sweaters coats. When you are used to hot and humid weather 9 months of the year when it dips below 70 we are freezing!!!

    Enjoy your spring break!!!

Great attitude! I agree that weight flucuates with your life means knowing that it goes up and down.

Weather sounds good there! It's been nice here in AZ in the 70's and maybe low 80's this weekend? (ducking/don't hate me...remember we have four months of 110+ weather...we earn nice springs!)

Know how you feel. Experienced some warm weather, had ton of rain the other night and during the day. Now back to really cold today. Weather is unpredictable right now but spring is around the corner soon and that is what keeps me going.

glad to hear you lost your birthday weight. Sometimes those setbacks happen but if you enjoyed what you did that is what is important after all this is a journey not a race. You are doing great and celebrate your successes! Hope you have a great week off from school and take time for yourself!

I know what you mean, 40's are a heatwave and just feels great. As to the weight fluctuations, you've been living, not dieting. It's a good thing!
