Yep, caught it. My son (10) and I got it exactly on the same day, tuesday last week, my daughter shows no signs so hopefully she already got it last year under a milder form. Of course my husband was away, so I had to juggle a bit, but with the help of my fantastic neighbours we managed and my daughter did not miss class.

We are out of the woods now, but let me tell you this is a mean, mean flu. I had very high fever, five days on, it left me exhausted, and with a bad case of tonsillitis (my throat litterally closed down, so the emergencies had to inject me a super powerful anti inflammatory, you should have seen the needle !!!), which now forces me to take antibiotics until next week, which means also no exercise until next week. Bummer.

I lost a size in pants but am still 200g over 80, and I had so hoped to be under till March 6th.

Well, reschedule is the word of the week for me, but since I can't do much about it now, can I, I will try my best to be super careful on the food and hope for the best.

I pray you have a speedy recovery Momma. My oldest daughter caught a mild form of it last year. It didn't seem to mild to me considering she was antibiotics and had a high fever for over a week. HUGS beautiful!
