My initial goal was to do 20 minutes of cardio every day before work. When I met with the first personal trainer for the assessment, he encouraged me to do more. On Monday when I met with the guy who will be my personal trainer, he recommended starting at 30-45 but that to meet my goals, an hour would be best.

That was pertty intimidating but today I tried it. I made it through 45 minutes on the treadmill and it went really well! I was sore and my back still hurts but I kept at it. It passed a lot faster than i thought it would. I'm really pleased at the way working out before work feels. It's out of the way so i don't have all day to worry about it but I also genuinely like starting my day that way.

I'm thinking of what kind of cardio I should do tomorrow. I dont' tend to like elipticals but there are a LOT of them at this gym. The music is really good though so maybe I'll do treadmill-eliptical-treadmill to break it up a bit. Later this week I need to do my strength exercises. I think I will aim for Thursday.
