Getting it under control

When I first started my new life change I was hoping to lose 1Kg each week. But all things not being equal, I was losing 3-4 Kg. A little research informed me that is not unusual and you always drop Kg's quick in the first few weeks.
This week I lost 1.3Kg and now weigh 116.2Kg. I was happy with this as it is getting closer to my goal of 1 Kg.
I have not been too strict with my eating this last week. Not Macca's orKFC but home made Brownies and I also had a Raj Corner Curry with a Naan bread. (both yum yum) The rest of the week I was eating healthy and walking the dog each and every night. I also had a few trips to the Gym and drink at least 8 glasses of water.
I had a good week and I never think of eating Pizza or chips and the like. I feel healthier and have more energy than I have had in years.
My family are all enjoying the new menu I have introduced and are all emptying their plates each meal time.
I lead a busy life with working 6 days a week and studying 30 units at Uni each semester. I am also being kept busy with the Newcastle Football Referees. So I look at meal times as I look at my fitness times. It is time well spent in ensuring the health of my family and myself. It also gets me brownie points with my nearest and dearest.
The main point I have learned this week, is not to get too obsessed with all I am eating, but throwing healthy things together is not only tasty but fun and time really well spent.
The recipes on Spatkpeople are great to make and all really tasty and good for you. I have tried more than a dozen different meal ideas and we all gave them 2 thumbs up. I also bought a Jenny Craig cook book on the cheap from work and they have also been really nice meals and easy to cook.
I think I have rattled on to myself long enough, back to hitting the books, next blog will be at the same blog time on the same blog channel.
