hCG Diet

So, I've been on the diet for 15 days now, and I have to say, I have never felt better! I've lost 14.6 lbs in 15 days (and that's because I've been on my period. I'm hoping that I'll go back up to a pound a day when it's over). By the time that I'm off of this round (which I'm taking the 40 day run), I'll be 190 lbs. I'll have to go on 3 rounds total in order to get to my goal weight, but still, that will put me at my goal weight by September!!!

The diet is hard, don't get me wrong, and I can't exercise on Phase 2, but still, nearly a pound a day for 40 days is nearly 40lbs! I'm sticking to it, too! And then I can exercise!

And today marks my 30lb loss achievement!!! WOOOOO!

    When I tried to do my third round, after I had lost 60 lbs, I had a major hypoglycemic moment during the eating phase. I was still doing well, I had only gained about 6 pounds back, but then my husband went into the hospital. While he was in there, I stopped eating, usually only once a day when the kids made me eat something. Because of that, I gained every bit of the weight back. Now I have to start all over again.

  Hi.... I was on the HCG diet and lost almost 20 pounds....it has been 4 months since I stopped the drops... I have gained between 2 and 3 pounds.. since then.
I was wondering since it's been well over a year and a half.... how are you doing? Did you keep the weight off?

    To everyone worried about the 'missed' nutrients and stuff... go to a health food store to purchase the HCG diet and they will get you vitamins and herbs to help with headaches,dizziness,cravings, and all the side effects people are having.If a health food store is selling it, I would trust it. The FDA just cant find a way to capitalize on it so the wont 'approve' it. And thank you to ARALISS for your wonderful input about other FDA 'approved' procedures that are pretty much the exact same. EXCEPT- your not paying for the costly surgery! Im starting the diet today and have a wonderful outlook on it, regardless of all the negativity going around. Good Luck to all, and hopefully we can add good comments in about a month or two!!

  I just started the HCG diet myself , and was a little leery of the 500 cal diet plan. Thought I would be miserable , but I'm not !! and I'm down 10lbs in 6 days and lovin it ! glad to find other people doing the same plan!

    How's it going, OP?? I'm hoping to start the diet this week, as soon as I can find drops...I'm more worried about phase 3 and putting all the weight back on than I am anything else. If I try to eat healthy and workout...I GAIN weight...so I don't see that this will mess my metabolism up anymore than it already is (and no, I wasn't gaining muscles as I can tell my clothes fit tighter now than they did when I started really trying). So anyway, I'm hoping this will work like it has for you so far :)

  The HCG diet plan lacks sufficient nutrition and relies on a theory that's over 50 years old and never been proven. Never mind the FDA -- all the Spark coaches say it's not safe, and that's good enough for me!

  You are on a 800 calorie diet with the lap band surgery that is FDA approved. Your food is covered in chemicals, MSG, Corn syrup all FDA approved so I guess that is alright.

If someone is passing out on this diet then adjust the diet. Maybe 3.5oz of protein isn't enough, try upping it to 4oz twice a day. Listen to your body and adjust accordingly. You'll still lose and it might be enough to do wonders for you.

We've spent years being over weight, I'm sorry I don't believe 40 days eating low cal will kill me. People in the old days survived on a lot less for longer periods in times of famine.

    woohoo i am glad i found someone who is on the same diet plan...good to have support instead of negative posters...i know ive done all diets and you always get the negativity of this isnt good for you and thats not good for you...well negativity is not good for you either lol...and am getting just plain tired of seeing the years go by and by....you HAVE to do what YOU think is good for YOURSELF...I think the mental part is way more harder than the dieting itself with any diet your on....I am happy to have you as a friend and hopefully I will find somemore supporters on here...if you have found anyone please pass them my way....good luck...i am rooting for you....trully RITA

  The HCG diet will teach you to conform to an eating pattern that is not nearly as healthy as it claims. Many people that do this diet have more metabolism issues after they do the plan than before. The HCG eating plan makes false claims and does not provide the nutrition necessary for an adult. It can severely compromise your health while making you think that you are making progress.

    great job! becareful not to put to much pressure on that end goal even if its next september you will get there! the hcg diet is amazing will teach you to control your portions and have you craving healthy food- but take time and let your body adjust each time you lose 34lbs. for each 34 you should just maintain it for a few months before going for more! keep it up its so worth the effort!

    My doctor recommended the place that he got his, which was www.yourdiscounthcg.com. Not only does it give you the complete overview of the diet, but it also gives you the whole paper which was done on the research for the treatment.

I suggest that you read everything before you buy it, and know that there are certain warning signs that you should look for, even if you do take it. My husband woke up horribly paranoid for no reason at all, so he stopped right then. He's kept the weight off too, even after going back to a regular diet.

My doctor lost 50 lbs with it and has kept it off for 6 months, which is why he recommended it.

  Oh my God! That HCG diet is one of the most dangerous ideas out there! I finally talked my sister out of finishing it after she passed out at work three times while she was trying to get through the day on 500 calories. Her doctor absolutely forbid her to ever try it again!

  You might want to check out this article from Time Magazine about the HCG diet. l have several friends that attempted this diet, and they all regained big time as soon as they could no longer force themselves to do steak days 4 or 5 times a week.

Most medical authorities agree that the HCG diet is a dangerous and unhealthy way to try and lose weight, and I would never recommend it to anyone. An article in the USATODAY this past January said that the FDA is in the process of taking all the over the counter HCG off the market in the near future, which I believe was a very good decision.

It is not worth the risk for short term rapid weight loss, as most people that try it do regain, and that often leads to a unhealthy cycle of yo yo dieting
