I had a comment recently on my overalls picture and when I went to see the comment I had to really look at that picture. I can still remember Ray coming out in those striped overalls and then he made me try them on. We thought I looked so hot in them! I wore them all day!!

You can see in the picture how happy we both are - but I looked at my face and I can see a tremendous difference.

I am 120 today and adjusting nicely to it!

I am not afraid to indulge myself and I get back on track within a few days generally so I feel pretty darn good about it.

During the weight-loss part of my program, a slip meant about 3000 calories for the day. Now a slip means about 2000 calories for the day. My binges now tend to be peanut butter via teaspoon or a handful of nuts instead of whatever I can cram into my mouth.

I am feeling comfortable in my new lifestyle, even with the occasional slips. I have been told by thin people that this is maintaining my weight.

    You've always been such an inspiration Linda. Many of us have that big fear of what to do when we get to, or close to, our goal weight. I'm learning the lesson that you've learned and now when I'm not 'perfect' I just pick up where I left off and keep going. It's making a huge difference in my life. I think the All or Nothing viewpoint I used for most of my life is finally fading away.

    Isn't it amazing? New knowledge and healthful habits. Would you have ever "thunk" it before you started? I was running today, and had to smile - in January I could not envision running for 5 minutes!!! Now I run 35 minutes several days a week, and that is just PART of the activities I participate in. Cardio, strength training, skating, hula hoops. And I have been able to ease up on my stringent diet A LITTLE.
And getting a little carried away with eating no longer involves days and days of stuffing myself with all kinds of food until I have a stomach ache. I actually decide to have a piece of chocolate, a slice of pie, or a glass of wine. And that's it.
So nice to have a kindred spirit to trade notes with!! Keep up all your good, HEALTHY work!

  Great job, you seem to have figured it out for yourself. During the holidays I gained back about 5 or 6 pounds and since can't seem to shead them. I have increased my workouts and watch what I eat. I feel great actually look thinner but it is killing me that I can't lose those pounds. Any advice.

    I am so happy I found you yesterday while reading blogs! You are such an inspiration, and I plan on putting the work in to be at goal within the year. I am not worried about maintaining so much because I believe that I finally have what it takes to keep this weight off!
