This is a good day to start off right. Having diabetes is both frustrating and rewarding. I really need to get more concious about my eating and exercising. I seem to go up and down on these two things. One day good, the next day bad. My Blood glucose shows this. I haven't been below 120 since December. You would think that I would "get it" after seeing both my parents die of heart disease due to diabetes, and my brother who is currently battling diabetes - he has had open heart surgery, laser surgery for his eyes, and neuropothy in his feet and is currently trying to heal an open sore on one of his feet.

I'm going to take each day at a time and work with it. Hopefully everything will become automatic as far as exercise and eating a healthy diet. My husband is very loving and supportive.

thanks for the comment on my post!

ya know? im all new to all this diabetic stuff. its kinda whipped me up in a shirly storm and im not exaclty sure WHERE im going to land, from moment to moment.

but one thing i do know (and its from life expiriences only) that everything is a day-by-day effort.

rome wasnt built in one day, and creating GOOD habits wont be either. were human, we make mistakes. the worst ones are NOT recognizing the potential to be better.
if we can see theres room for change, we are 50% there. the other 50% is in the actual effort to DO it.

im like you. i should know better too. i heard the dr tell me this could be fatal if i didnt get it under control.
im lazy.
and still a bit in shock about it, BUT....
i can see it HAS to be changed... a time, ill work at it.
if that means minute-by-minute, so be it until i can do this as well as any of the BAD behaviors i have aquired.

habits take time to develop. even the BEST ones.

hang in there! im here too...
