Just a short intro to this video....sent to me today in an email. I know it is long....but well worth your time. It is about our food supply that we need and depend on from markets, and stores all over this planet. This is a story about our children...grandchildren and (to us grandmothers- our grandchildren and great grandchildren) for generations. The decisions that we make today can effect us for years to come.

After you see this video I would like to hear your opinions....

What is your opinion on genetically engineered foods? Do you think there is anything we can do about it? Will this change what you eat and buy at the store? Anything else you feel you need to say....post it right here. I do think we have a voice...and we can make a difference.

Isn't that what Spark People teaches us....we are strong....we can do something about the world we live in ......we can make a difference. We can change ourselves...we can change our world.

I think in the long run we'll be sorry for messing with the natural food growing process.

I didn't watch the video. I have a slow speed internet and videos are not suitable for me. I think genetically modified foods are safe but I worry about the seed. No seed no plants, no food. The seed companies are breeding sterile plants to force people to pay inflated prices for seed. What if their seed plants fail?

Really like how you edited the blog. Haven't had a chance to watch the entire video but I plan on it. I also want to rent the documentary "Food, Inc. " which goes into depth about where a lot of our food comes from. Here's a link to a review: http://gatheringinlight.com/2009/11

I still say, "It's not nice to mess with Mother Nature!!" How can genetically modifying anything be a good idea? Before we started with eating processed foods and using all sorts of chemicals in our homes, there weren't as many incidents of cancer. We're ruining our bodies and our planet.

What we can do is buy organic products and find alternatives to chemicals. I wash my clothes with a laundry ball that puts NOTHING into the water supply. One of the worst things for the water is the phosphates from laundry detergent & dishwasher soap. In case you're interested, here's the link for the laundry balls; better and cheaper than detergent. https://truegreen.alice.com/product

If enough people get together and refuse to buy these genetically engineered products, they'll be no reason to have them since the company will be losing money. And frankly, it's all about the money isn't is? That's what most companies care about. We have to hit them where it hurts.
