This "blog" feature is so handy. I've been meaning to write more regularly. This is the perfect place.
Today was a good end of the month. Jake and I paid off one of our debts (yay!!!), and I reached my weekly weigh-in goal. We bought a scale a few weeks ago, and I love the thing. It has a neat User function.. It shows the difference in weight from the last weigh-in for two different users.
I'm trying a new motivational tool, where I "reward" myself for reaching my weekly goal. Obviously, they're small rewards because they're small accomplishments. But!, they are accomplishments nonetheless. Keeping my long-term goals in mind is all the motivation I need to exercise every day (or every other day). But I've noticed my eating habits need a little extra push! Sometimes I flat out forget that I'm trying to avoid soda, mayo, or whatever. But when I have something new to look forward to each week, I have this thought: "I won't be able to go to a movie with Jake if I don't lose a pound this week! This Thin Mint will definitely not help me lose that pound, and I definitely DO want to see that movie." It is pretty simple. So far, I've earned myself a pair of earrings from Express and a day trip to Pella, Iowa, with Jacob! The day trip is actually happening tomorrow. We are going to a screening of this amazing documentary called May I Be Frank. It is going to be great.
Well, I had more thoughts but I'm very tired now. Time for BED! Good night, Blog!
