Refocused, reprioritizing, and happy that Grad Schools done!

Monday, February 28, 2011

It can be tough to come back to spark after a "vacation period" cant it? This last school year has been SO hectic that, somewhere along the way, I lost my focus on living better. So let me catch everyone up!

-- I've finished my last/hardest year of grad school. (2.5months to graduation, yay!)
-- I had my 27th birthday.
-- I've started looking for real jobs.

Its been a pretty monumental year. Unfortunately the last 3-6mo has killed my healthy living. After being pretty successful, for ~3years,I havent been to the gym in MONTHS and I'm the heaviest that I've ever been. But no matter how inconsistent I've been, I know that I can always drag myself back to a healthier lifestyle.

This just means that its time to begin again. I finally got the courage up to step on a scale and face the music. As of this morning I've restarted tracking my diet. I've got my gym bag packed to go this afternoon. Plus, I have a new goal: In the ~3mo before I start my new job, I want to get back to my good lifestyle habits -- gym, healthy eating, and fitting into my pants.

Wish me luck!

As a Mom of two kids, one in college at University of Kansas and a high school student already being pursued by Duke. I bow to you for your hard work and
going so far in school.

I never had the opportunity to further my education and so admire you for
doing so! I live it vicariously through my children and thankful we made it
possible for our kids.

You should pat yourself on the back!
