For me, I can read it in a book, on a Web page, or someone can tell me, but I don't truly learn it until I experience it. Guess I'm hard-headed.
So I've learned two big things so far:
1. It's exercise that makes the weight come off and makes your body look better - and healthier. I've limited my food intake to nearly nothing to no effect. Gotta make the time for exercise.
2. Gotta eat BEFORE I get ravenously hungry, else I eat everything in the house! I learned that on Friday when I just couldn't eat anything until I was already past the point of starved. Then there was no holding me back. I ate EVERYTHING. OK, so now I know. Next time I'll carry a protein bar with me to eat.
I know there are more lessons to be learned. I'm on my way...
