I ran tonight . . . I think?

I almost didn't work out tonight. For some reason I just didn't seem to have any energy. My get up and go seemed to have got up and went - when I wasn't looking! First I wasn't going to even stop at the gym. Then my DH dropped me off - but I told him to wait - maybe I forgot my locker combination. Damn, I remembered it after all. Oh well, there went all of my excuses. Changed and got onto the treadmill.

I warmed up for 5 minutes and then started my 5K Your Way Rookie program. The first 2 running intervals went fine. Got a little winded, but that is to be expected. The 3rd interval I almost wimped out - but I stuck it out. Half way through the last 1-minute running I am sorry to say, I wimped out. Finished the last 30 second walking and then did a 5-minute cooldown. But I ran and it didn't kill me! emoticon

Finished up the evening with 15 minutes on the stationary bike and 15 minutes of water aerobics. emoticon emoticon

    Terrific! I am sure this is to be expected from rookie runners. So, in my book you did well, especially from someone who did not even feel up to it. I can hardly wait to see what you can do when your mind is into it!

    Good job running--I can't run and sometimes I want to but I have bad knees, bad ankles and asthma. Triple whammy for running!! Glad you made yourself workout--sometimes it is for the best!

    Some days are like that, we don't feel like exercising, but we eventually do and it feels good. It sounds like you exercised about 30 minutes. Burned a few unwanted calories. Good for you! emoticon

    I am notorious for making excuses like that when I go to the gym. Oh, I forgot my headphones, I can't work out without music so time to go home! Good for you for sticking it out!
