Ok, so I passed my fitness test and I'm very pleased with myself for that. Now I'm struggling to get motivated to STAY fit. Stupid huh!
I know that when I get to basic, the first thing we're going to do on the first day is a fitness test. This is to make sure that we haven't lost fitness in the 4 weeks previous and also to pick up on anyone that might have an injury or something preventing them from doing the exercises we'll be required to complete.
So when I get there I still have to at the minimum maintain the level of fitness I had at my testing.

No problem, except for the fact that the safety key for my treadmill dropped into the motor housing last week and I haven't done any interval training since then! I have done the beachbody insanity cardio warm up section a couple of times which is great because it really boosts your heart rate and is about the same length of time as my normal HIIT session, but it's definately not what I would achieve in HIIT on my treadmill. Not to mention the fact that I want to up my HIIT anyway so that i'm fitter when I go to basic in NINETEEN DAYS!!!
Oh I know that I won't be making any huge leaps in fitness in just over 2 weeks. But anything I can do to help is probably a wise move. Lets face it, the fitter that you are when you go in the better off you are.

Ok so I'm being hit with a dose of nerves. Who wouldn't? I'll be leaving my husband and son for over 2 months when I haven't been seperated from them for more than a night for a very long time.
I'm very excited about the whole thing though, so whilst I'm not looking forward to being seperated from my family I'm definately looking forward to all the new experiences I'll have. There's at least 2 other linguists coming through in my intake as well so I'll have people that I'll know when I get to the RASigs in Queensland. Hubby has a friend up there already so he won't be bored by himself thankfully. Not much longer now ^.^

Where I live, a lot of gyms will offer people 7 day free passes to try to get them to join. Is there anything like that in your area? It might be a good way to get access to some equipment for a few solid days of training.

Just trying to offer an idea. I can only imagine how stressed you are being without your main piece of equipment for intense training when you have to be able to pass the fitness standards all over again in a few weeks!
