I started Ideal Protein 02/10/11. I decided to do this diet after a couple of my friends successfully completed it. Plus I like the idea of losing the weight relatively fast then being trained on what I am supposed to eat to stay at that weight. It is a low carb/very low calorie/low fat diet. This is a diet. Eventually I will eat more normally, after I lose the weight and they teach me how to do that.
My first WI was 02/17/11 an I lost 6.4 lbs the first week. I knew it would be a bigger number than normal the first week. My next WI is 2/24/11 (2 days) and I hope it goes well. I expect to lose 2-3 lbs a week.
I am very proud of myself for not cheating. The first several days were very difficult. Not only was I hungry, but I was a Diet Mountain Dew drinking fool. The caffeine withdrawals were the worst. I think it distracted me from my carb cravings. After a couple days I was less hungry, and a few more days I had much more energy. There are no more afternoon slumps, My energy stays pretty even through out the day.
I am very excited about this I really think I can succeed at this. I think for the first time in my adult life I can get control over this!
