A bumpy start to a New Year

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

It is all ready late February . My husband came home sick on Christmas Eve and it all started to snowball. A small bug went into a sinus infection that lead to a cough that put him out of work for near a month and now after seeing 5 specialist he still has the cough but one Doctor thinks it may be one of his medicines. So now we are going to put on hold any other test until we give this a try. I feel so sorry for him he coughs all day long hard to the point of gasping some times. A night he can get some sleep but it is not good sleep for I am feeling the lack of that too.
We have agreed to eat a steady healthy lifestyle no matter what. Getting sick this year and not eating as healthy as we had the last few years may have played a small role in all this. It is not worth seeing all the wonderful plains we had for this year slip away for medical bills.
The best thing is that he see that healthy eating is more important now.

Thanks 2B, 1healthyctndi and Sandy Bruno, We will try the Vic's he been fighting me on that one why he hates it so I don't understand. I put some on a cloth and hung it off the bed post and that even helps me at night with a cold.
I can not use it on feet they blister.
The latest is one doctor thinks it could be one of his medicines so we are changing that one.
Thanks again.

Keeping you both in thoughts and prayers, Pink, I'm telling you....there are some absolutely wicked bugs running around out there this year. I can't tell you how many people I know who have been down sick and it's hung on forever and a day, and several of them are young folks who usually rebound quickly. But on the up side, I'm really glad he's seen the benefit of following a healthier lifestyle. I have to say it really DOES make a difference, especially with your immune system. Hopefully he'll get over this soon and be able to finally get back to 100%. Poor guy.....and poor you! Hugs, gf!

I'm so sorry for your husband. I don't know if this will work or not but it might be worth a try. It always works for my family. You put some Vic's vapor rub on the soles of his feet and it normally will stop a cough.
