Still Struggling with Myself!

I'm still struggling with losing weight. I can blame it on the new weight watcher program, but, it really is me. I'm just feeling depressed about my life in general. I am getting old and things haven't quite turned out the way that I thought it would. I signed up to train for a 5k this summer. Wish me luck!

    Hey, maybe its the weather of just this month- because I've been lacking my morning motivation & energy too. I just feel "blah" and really have to pep talk myself into doing stuff which is not my norm.

I am happy to hear you joined the 5k Your Way program to aim for doing a 5k this summer. I have a number of 5k events I want to do with local team members plus my son so I keep hoping the warmer temps will stick around so I can get back outside and moving.

I don't reflect too much on life and what you haven't accomplished, look for the positives and applaud those efforts. Age is a relative factor and how you choose to live your life daily and in the future is what you can change so focus on that and reach small goals.

    YOU ARE NOT ALONE I'M 50 GETTING OLD I HAD A VERY DEPRESSED WEEK LAST WEEK SO MANY THINGS WENT WRONG BIG THINGS BUT I KEPT ON PUSHING AND I WORKED OUT ONE DAY WITH TEARS IN MY EYES HOLDING THEM BACK SO NO ONE COULD TELL AND I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH BETTER I FELT AFTER THAT WORKOUT I KNOW THEY SAY WORKING OUT HELPS DEPRESSION BUT I NEVER BELIEVED IT UNTIL NOW MY PROBLEMS WERE STILL THERE BUT I FELT LIKE I COULD HANDLE THEM AND THINK CLEARER SO WHAT EVER THE PROBLEM IS DON'T GIVE UP ONE DAY AT A TIME YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE LIFE YOU HAVE ALREADY MISSED BUT YOU CAN CHANGE THE REST OF IT JUST ONE DAY AT A TIME. emoticon emoticon I WANT TO DO THE 5K WALK IN SPRINGFIELD AT WASHINGTON PARK IF THAT IS THE ONE YOU ARE TRAINING FOR MAYBE I'LL SEE YOU THERE THE NEW BALANCE WALK emoticon

    You know the program works, IF you do it the way they designed . . . so you must ask yourself, what is keeping your from being successful?

Sorry, but your not unique here . . . I am to blame for my lack of weight loss, I am in the same category as you (in my 40's) and am not really happy about where we are living right now (moved back to help care for an ailing inlaw). Yep, life is not as I would like it either, especially since we came from much better to 'Do the right thing'. I could be upset and eat myself into a 'candy coma', or do something about it!

Ask yourself if not now, then when?
