I know it's been awhile since I blogged last and that's mainly because I haven't had a lot of success to blog about. For about 5 weeks I have been juggling the same 2-3 pounds and I can't seem to get past it! I lose 2lbs, I gain 2 lbs, I lose a pound, I gain 2 pounds, I lose 3 pounds, I gain two pounds, etc. My big goal was to get out of the 170s and once I did that, I can't seem to get BEYOND that!
And in addition to that, I haven't done an OFFICIAL 5K yet. I've done plenty on my own but I really want to be in a race. I decided last week that I would run in a 5K at Disney the first weekend of March but I'm extremely low on funds. I set up a fund-raising page but haven't raised anything yet. I'm not really upset by that because I know how tight money is for everyone in the country right now. So I'm going to play it by ear. It might be a last minute decision and it might not even happen at all. Running is something I get to do for free and running in a race won't make or break me.
Last week I also decided to start 10K training. I've completed 3 runs this week (although Thursday's was a little short because it was SO HOT out!) but have been shaky on the cross-training and strength (a.k.a. I haven't done any). Tomorrow is a new day and I've decided from here on out that I am going to commit to this training. I know what it takes to lose weight and I know I haven't been pulling my weight (haha!) and that's why I haven't been losing lately. Having a program during C25K really helped and I want to do something like that again.
