So today is day 2 of monitoring my food and I had a brilliant idea to take pictures of it lol. So far to day I've had

Late Breakfast: Smart Ones French toast and turkey sausage

Late Lunch/Dinner: Fish, spaghetti, and veggies

Sweet tooth snack: Smart Ones Pecan Sunday

I plan to get more fruit and veggies in tonight.

Most of my foods are processed and that's because I'm very busy and don't have much time to cook. I plan to learn to cook more or maybe 1 to 2 meals a week. After graduation I will be doing more cooking.

    A place to find healthy, fast recipes is I have tons of their receipes and some take as little as 20 minutes. I go to school, work, and am a single parent. Kraft foods is a life saver!

    I love the idea of taking pictures! Pictures don't lie.

    I don't know what you're schedule is like, but if you have a free night through the week, or some time on the weekend, you can preprep a ton of stuff to save time. When I go shopping I buy things like pre-chopped lettuce, shredded carrots, grape tomatoes, pre-cooked chicken strips so that they can just be tossed together for a quick salad. And everything else I pre-cut as much as possible, and put it in the fridge in containers/bags for quick access. And oatmeal is my fav for breakfast. I use instant mixed with milk (find it less glue-like), and I'm good for a few hours after that (and it's like, 200 cals and has tons of fiber). It's all about finding the right mix of things that works. And I found my systems saves me a ton on groceries compared to buying convenience foods.

    Well, that's one way to keep those points straight. Didn't work for me though.

    You do what you have to do. I cook a lot of things on the weekend and then freeze them and reheat them later in the week.
