Apparently, they were successful in fixing the ice jam and the water has receded. River is still bankful, so some water seeping into the basement, but one sump pump is handling it. It is colder today (with freezing rain, yuk!), so I am hopeful that the melting will slow down and hold off the flooding.
Daisy dog and I are back on track, although she is a little confused about the ice pellets hitting her when she goes out!
Thanks for all your well wishes and offers of help! It makes these little bumps in life a lot easier to handle with the kind of support I receive from the Spark community!
In a way, the ice was a blessing. God does work in strange ways, at least strange to our thinking. In a way, it was a blessing here too because it gave me another day at home to get things caught up. It was probably good too that I didn't have internet for a while so that I would do my work first. Take Care and Stay Safe! 1955 days ago
